On the starter of your vehicle, you can find rings also called bushings. These are very important. Indeed, there is a ring on the collector side of the armature (at the rear bearing), and a bushing on the front support side or on the starter nose. On older models, we usually think of changing the brushes or carbon brushes of the starter, but rarely the bushings: the bushings of Ducellier starters and Paris-Rhone starters are mainly to be checked.
