    The diaphragm is the one that is most often changed part, if its rubber part is pierced it no longer ensures watertightness.

    The enrichment diaphragm and the starter opening assistance diaphragm when present on the carburettor also need to be changed when the carburettor taken appart and cleaned.

    Solex is the carburetor brand created in 1905 by Maurice Goudard and Marcel Mennesson, they also invented the famous solex bike.

    These carburettors are used in many French vehicles, including Peugeot / Talbot / Simca and others.

    You will find a wide range of gasket kits including, depending on the model, the needle, the base gasket and/or the top of the tank, copper gasket, return pump membrane and/or enrichment, wedge.

    The reference of the solex carburettors is on a small silver plate on the top of the tank, unfortunately when the carburettor has already been overhauled this plate is not put back in its place. in this case on some models the reference is engraved on the base plate. you can also compare the old tank top seal with the models shown in the picture to identify it.

    The replacement of these parts is not too complex, however, you need to have a minimum of knowledge in the field.

    Zénith is a carburetor brand founded by François BAVEREY in 1907.

    The carburetor optimizes the "air-fuel" setting.

    The Zenith carburetor has been improved with settings based on 2 nozzles, one designed to optimize the mixture as the air speed increases, the other called a compensator provides an additional air jet.

    Many vehicles were equipped with Zenith carburetors, references can be found in the form 28IF, 32IF, 36IV, INAT.

    Pierburg is a carburetor brand also called German solex.

    Pierburg carburetors are used in many cars under references such as 2E3, 2E2, PDSIT, 1B1, 4A1 and so on.

    Especially on BMW, Volkswagen, Opel, Porsche, Seat.

    Weber is an Italian brand created in 1923 by Edoardo Weber in Bologna, which was first intended to equip Fiat vehicles. Weber innovated by creating double body carburettors, then contributed to equip racing cars with this technology, notably Alfa Romeo and Maserati, and later the Weber brand came under the control of Magneti Marelli.

    Carburetor adjustment requires a certain amount of know-how to ensure that the air/fuel mixture is optimized.

    Components including sprinklers, injector, float, needle, recovery and enrichment pump diaphragms, richness screw, starter box, base spacer and gaskets to ensure proper sealing contribute to the proper functioning of the carburettor.
